At the same time, the government’s heightened fraud strategy will bring about a more flexible regulatory culture.

The repeal of mandatory Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulations is a particularly significant change. The FCA will replace them with flexible, results-based SCA standards, giving businesses more flexibility in preventing fraud. This deregulation offers businesses that have created proprietary security frameworks a chance to make money off of advanced fraud prevention technologies.
